Candace’s Sweet Biscuits

Preparation time: 30 minutes
Serves: 8
Serving Size: 1 biscuit

• 3/4 cup cooked mashed sweet potatoes
• 1/4 cup nonfat milk
• 4 Tbsp light stick margarine
• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 4 tsp baking powder
• 2 Tbsp Splenda® No Calorie Sweetener
• 1/2 tsp salt

In a large bowl, mix the sweet potatoes, nonfat milk, and margarine. In a separate bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, Splenda® and salt.

Combine both mixtures to make a soft dough. Turn the dough out onto a floured board and toss until smooth.

Roll out until the dough is 1/2 inch thick. Cut the dough with a biscuit cutter or small glass. Place on a greased pan and bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes.
